The evolving retail mix is quite a change from the 1989 lineup, which included Wherehouse Records and a one-hour photo shop. They also requested additional family restaurants, a sports bar or brewery and some fitness-oriented options. In addition to parking, shoppers this time around said they want more healthy food choices, along the lines of Urban Plates (which had to expand twice in 2011, the year it opened). Schreiber said she hopes to snag another bookstore to take Barnes & Noble's place, or even a small-format "express" version of the existing store. "There are a lot of people that are going to miss it, even though we all know that kind of retail is going away by way of the Internet." ![]() "A lot of people are disappointed at the fact that Barnes & Noble will be leaving and replaced by parking," White said. The chain bookstore is leaving because its space, already smaller than traditional Barnes & Noble stores, will be even smaller once the expansion is completed. Minus Barnes & Noble, the 80 or so existing tenants should be able to stay open during the construction.
